Hi I am unique situation plz help me to resolve this issue.

Our company XYZ has XYZ.in domain name and mail server also hosted in hosted service providers linux based mail server.

Now he have decided and implemented our own exchange 2013 with xyz.local domain internally And created users same as hosted service providers.

Eg:-user1@xyz.in (user in hosted service providers)

User1@xyz.local (user in internal exchange server)

User2@xyz.local (user in internal exchange server)

The issue is when we send mail from user1@xyz.in touser2@xyz.local I am able to receive it but when I send mail from useruser2@xyz.local to user1@xyz.in it is delivering mail to user1@xyz.local but we are expecting the mail in user1@xyz.in .

Hey Guys,

How to send email to a SMTP server over a secure channel using STARTTLS setting of a send connector (Exchange and SMTP server are in the same domain)

$

I’m trying to send email using exchange send connector STARTTLS setting to the SMTP server. I have read multiple documents on configuring TLS for send connector, but they talks about outbound connections to internet facing servers. My Exchange 2013 and SMTP server is in the same domain (let’s say A.com) and I’m creating dummy domains on my SMTP server (e.g. user1@dummy1.local, user2@dummy2.local ) and their respective send connectors on the exchange server end. In the smart host section added the IP address of the SMTP server and in the scoping section added the SMTP domain address (e.g. dummy1.local ). In the FQDN field, added the FQDN of the exchange server 2013 which certificate is enabled with SMTP service.

Could you tell me a step by step procedure, where I’m going wrong or any extra settings needs to added?

Presently, it is giving me an error that 530 5.5.1 TLS encrypted connection is required.

Note: I’ve created the Microsoft CA certificates for the SMTP and exchange servers and imported them in the personal certificate container. In which, the exchange certificate is created with FQDN name of the server and enabled for the SMTP service.

I’m using OPENSSL certificate for making the SMTP server TLS enabled. (let me know, if I need to import the OPENSSL certificate anywhere on the exchange end)?

Thanks!

DuplicateDeliver

We are having problems with emails being dumped
because they have duplicate message ID's. The message are actually different
emails. The sender, receiver, time stamp and content are the same, but the
difference is the attachment.

If I could get some help with disabling this for that user or getting Exchange
realize that these emails are actually different and deliver them would be
great.

Queue to Journal mailbox filling up

Started yesterday morning but is getting progressively worse. The queue which sends mail to the journal mailbox seems to be processing email, just not fast enough, so the queue continues to get bigger and bigger. No changes were made yesterday. Five servers in a DAG, all Exchange 2013 (CU4). Besides the obvious, "update to CU7 or CU8", does anyone have any thoughts?

Exchange 2013 Specific Mails Forward to External SMTP

I have one query that I need forward mails to external SMTP but not all mails only which I specify Address or Subject can forward automatically to external SMTP, is it possilble

There's a problem with the recipient's mailbox. Please try resending this message.

I have a user who cannot receive a message from a particular external sender. That senders assistant (same domain and server as the external sender with the issue) is able to forward the exact same message to my user and it arrives as it should. In message tracking, I can see the message came in through my smart host, through my front end and to the users mailbox server, where an NDR was generated.  We had the assistant forward us the NDR and it says:

There's a problem with the recipient's mailbox. Please try resending this message. If the problem continues, please contact your helpdesk.

From my 3rd party smart host/spam filter, I have a copy of the message in audit and when I forward it to myself, the same thing happens - it generates an NDR when it arrives at my Exchange mailbox server.  This makes me conclude that my end users mailbox isn't corrupt, rather it's something in the message header that our server doesn't like (I've seen this happen with other senders as well, but it is extremely rare and random).

Details/facts of my environment:
-Current production messaging system is Exchange 2003.
-Working on Exchange 2010 co-existence.
-This problem between this sender and us has been an issue before the introduction of Exchange 2010.
-I'm hoping to begin end user mailbox migrations to 2010 and will have the sender try again at that time, but I still have testing to do with our voice messaging system before I can begin moving end user mailboxes.

Opportunistic TLS removed from Office 365?

Team.

I have an open question regarding changes to the mail flow connector for Exchange Online:http://community.office365.com/en-us/f/156/p/343149/929997.aspx#929997

************************************************************************************************

Hello all,

I'm working on a Hybrid 2010 configuration.  When modify the connectors in Exchange Online EAC, I noticed that the connectors changes, and opportunistic TLS is gone.  What happened?  Can someone please provide some information regarding the TLS changes?  Did opportunistic TLS get removed?

I was following these articles:

Configure mail flow using connectors in Office 365

https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms.exch.eac.connectorselection(v=exchg.150).aspx

Set up connectors to route mail between Office 365 and your own email servers

https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn751020(v=exchg.150).aspx

Any information on theses changes will be appreciated.

Hi Kloud,

I didn’t find any official documentation about that. The connectors page inExchange admin center has just been updated, so we may not have relevant documentation at this point. If I find any, I’ll let you know.

Meanwhile, I suggest you submit your feedback to let our relevant team know that you need an official documentation about theOpportunistic TLS of new connectors.

Thanks for your understanding.

Best Regards,
Allen

Do you know the answer to this question?  Or, are you planning to post something on these changes?

Thanks

Internal Relay Mail being Received Twice

$

We are using our Exchange 2013 SMTP receive connector to relay mail from our fax server to internal users.  Several times a day, our users will receive duplicate or triplicate emails from this service.  Looking at wireshark captures and the SMTP Receive logs, it appears the RightFax successfully sends the data (including the "." at the end) but doesn't receive a " 2.6.0 Mail queued for delivery" message from the Exchange server. It then resets the connection to send the message again. Often, it will receive a successful "mail queued" message the second time, but if not it retries and receives the "mail queued" message the third time.  However, on the recipient end, they receive two/three emails, all with different conversation ID's.

If we switch the email gateway in the fax application back to our legacy Exchange 2007 environment (which we have not yet decommissioned due to this issue), the issue goes away completely.

So far, the fax application is the only application with email being relayed that we have received complaints about duplicate emails.

We have tried:
-  Changing the application to point to a different 2013 server that doesn't have as much internal relay traffic
-  Increasing the MaxInboundConnectionsPerSource to 100 and MaxInboundConnectionPercentagePerSource to 100%
-  Increasing the timeout on the application (up to 6 minutes)

Have there been any changes to SMTP response in Exchange 2013 that would cause these issues?

Hello,

When I received a message from the external, I have a "loop" in my mail flow. I have not a problem with the receiving but it is strange.

My headers are the follow :

Received: from exchsrv.domain.com (192.168.1.x) by exchsrv.domain.com
(192.168.1.x) with Microsoft SMTP Server (TLS) id 15.0.1044.25 via Mailbox

Received: from antispam (192.168.1.x) by exchsrv.domain.com (192.168.1.x) with
Microsoft SMTP Server id 15.0.1044.25 via Frontend Transport; Fri, 24 Apr

Note the uppercase in the second receive.

I do not really understand when the problem could be.

How to increase White List entries from maximum allowed 100 entries in Content Filter Agent for Exchange 2013?

I am migrating Notes to Exchange 2013. In Notes we have 600 White List entries and I would like to configure the same in Exchange 2013. But the maximum number of allowed White List entries in Exchange 2013 are only 100. Please see below on page 367.

https://books.google.ca/books?id=hqAO41VbYqQC&pg=PA367&lpg=PA367&dq=maximum+number+of+white+listing+entries+allowed+in+exchange+2013&source=bl&ots=TMf_MetLTj&sig=671IjSq2yim4O9S9HJrHJqNY3RQ&hl=en&sa=X&ei=eUg6VeetIc7ZsATE3ICACw#v=onepage&q=maximum%20number%20of%20white%20listing%20entries%20allowed%20in%20exchange%202013&f=false

Is there any way to increase this limit?

Thanks

Email delays

Is there anyway to troubleshoot mail delay problems?  I'm running 2007 and 2013 in co-existance.  However, I have stopped the transport service on 2007.  Mail flow works fine at times.  However, at other times there is up to a 20 minute delay in receiving.  Is there a way to troubleshoot this issue?

Thank you
